SAMOVARTEATERET REPRESENTED AT RUSSIAN JAZZ FESTIVAL
Between the 12th and 17th of October 2011 Nikolay Shchetnev, dancer at Samovarteateret, participated in a jazz festival in Arkhangelsk dedicated to the famous musician Vladimir Rezitsky. Together with film maker Sergey Zhigaltsov and jazz musician Timofey Dorofeev with band, a performance was created combining the three different art forms music, film and dance.

COLD FISH IN HAMMERFEST
In the beginning of November, the Samovarteater production Cold Fish was represented at Dance FestivaI Barents 2011 in Hammerfest. The performance was presented on the main stage of the Arctic Culture Centre on the 10th of November.
The performance is a collaboration between Samovarteateret and Anna Piotrowska. Anna, whom we have worked together with on several occasions, is a choreographer and dancer based in Warsaw, Poland. Since the premiere in Kirkenes in October 2010, the performance has been shown at several international dance festivals.
